How to Root an Android Phone - PC Method

Rooting your Android phone gives you the ability to control entire system of your Android Phone. Rooting removes maximum limitations of an Android phone and make your phone easier to use. But before Rooting your Android phone you should know all about rooting. Rooting have a lot of Pros & Cons. I have already written an article on 'Everything You Want To Know About Rooting An Android Phone', You should read that article before following this tutorial.

NOTE: Using Software to root your Android phone is safer than manually Rooting your Phone.

Things You Will Need:

  • An Android Phone- With atleast 50% of Charge
  • Rooting Software - See Here (Top Software for Rooting Android)
  • A PC/Laptop working Internet Connection - Required to download Drivers for your Phone
  • A little knowledge about Computer & Mobiles - Just a little bit 

Tutorial:

  1. First of all download the Required Software for rooting your Android Phone. Here i am going to use 'Android Root by Kingo'.
    You can choose any software from our list of Top 5 Software to Root Android.
      
  2. Install the Software in your PC/Laptop & Launch it.
  3. Now, Enable USB Debugging mode in your Android Phone & Connect it to your PC using USB Cable.
    In Android 4.0 & Above --> Settings > Developer Mode > USB Debugging 
    In Android 2.3 --> Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging

  4. Once you connect your Phone with your PC, Rooting Software will automatically detect your Phone Model & will start downloading Required drivers and other files.

                                    
  5. Click on 'ROOT' button and Software will start Fetching Scripts & Rooting your Android phone will finish in 4-5 Minutes.
    NOTEDo not disconnect your Phone during this Process.

                         
  6. You will see a new window which says 'Rooting Successful'. Just click on Finish and Restart your Android device to finish the Rooting Process.

                                 
      
  7. After Restarting your Phone you will see a New app named 'SuperSu' in your phone.
    NOTE: This app is required to Grant 'SuperUser/Root' permissions to other apps that requires Root access to your Phone. Do Not Un-install This app by normal Un-installing Process. This might cause Problems.
     
  8. Now you have a Rooted Android phone and Now you can flash Custom ROMs, themes or any app that requires Root Access.
